The Darkest Song
I didn’t know vampires existed until the night I became one. I was terrified and alone, until a stranger stepped out of the darkness and saved me from myself.
His name was Adam. He was centuries old and powerful beyond belief. Having grown bored with his immortality, he offered me shelter, and his protection. He would teach me how to live as a vampire. I knew I should be frightened, but for some reason I felt safe with him. So I said yes.
Adam awakened something inside me. He taught me to embrace the darkness and for the first time in years I felt truly alive. But there was a threat to my newfound happiness. I was changed illegally, making my very existence a crime in the vampire world. If I was discovered, I’d be executed. Adam vowed to keep me safe but I was immortal now. No one can stay hidden forever.

The Darkest Crown
I should never have run. I was foolish to think I could escape the chains that bound me. Forced to stand trial once more, I quickly realized the Strategoi were the least of my worries. Because this time I captured the interest of a different vampire. One who was far deadlier than Adam or Julian.
He was Marius, the vampire king. The original, from which all others were created. And he was certifiably insane. I knew I could never escape him. My only hope of surviving was to win his favor, but did I have the courage to play along with his mad delusions? And what would happen if he saw through my lies?

Into The Dark Wood
Mother Nola had a vision. A king from a faraway land was lost in the Dark Wood. A maiden from our village would find him, and he would make her his queen. No one ever entered the Dark Wood, for it was known to be cursed and inhabited by terrifying beasts. But the chance of becoming queen was too great to resist. The next morning, every eligible maiden set out to find the lost king.
Laurel had no desire to become queen. All she wanted was to save her mother, who was gravely ill. She didn’t have coin for a healer, but a king would. She would find the king and beg him to help her mother. She knew the woods weren’t cursed, she entered them often, foraging for food. What she didn’t know was the lengths the others would go to to become queen.
Perhaps there were monsters in the woods after all...
